Minimum Qualifications/Knowledge
- 8+ years of database administration experience
- 5+ years of experience in Cloud Database Migration
- Must be able to leverage cloud technologies in support of moving on premise databases
into a public, private or hybrid cloud
- Must be able to clone, migrate databases as needed
- Must be able to work on Windows servers (Linux servers, a plus) in support of database administration activities
Education:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related technical disciplines
Job Responsibilities:
- Manages and maintains all production and non-production databases.
- Responsible for standards and design of physical data storage, maintenance, access, and security administration
- Performs backup and recovery on Database Management Systems, configures database parameters, and prototype designs against logical data models, defines data repository requirements, data dictionaries and warehousing requirements
- This position optimizes database access and allocates/re-allocates database resources for optimum configuration, database performance and cost
- Applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures to complete assignments of the highest complexity
- Works on assignments where the business and technology problems, opportunities, and solutions may be undefined, many unknowns exist
- Works as subject matter expert and may provide indirect leadership
